Natural yoghurt or no natural yoghurt!

Hi,

My dogs absolutely love natural yoghurt and I normally give them two teaspoons each per day. However, now my westie is expecting the patter of tiny paws I was wondering if it is safe to continue giving her this. Does any one know the answer please.

Re: Natural yoghurt or no natural yoghurt!

We gave our bitches natural yoghurt when they are pregnant. Our last litter of pups also had a small amount mixed in with their food once a day from the time they were about 6 weeks old.

Re: Natural yoghurt or no natural yoghurt!

When our setter Zoe was young she suddenly had really bad diarreah. Some one suggested giving her goats milk youghurt in her food.Just a spoonful a day and within 24 hours the diareah had cleared up. Natural youghurt does the same but the goats milk yoghurt is better. My lot all love it. I have yoghurts for work but don't like the black cherry ones. Fortunately William the greyhound loves the black cherry ones. He gets them miexed in with his breakfast when ever there is any in the fridge. He takes for ever to eat his ood but gobbles it down when it has black cherry yoghurt in it.

Re: Natural yoghurt or no natural yoghurt!

Thanks to everyone for your input. It have been most helpful. So it looks like I'm ok to continue giving and my Jemima's lucky to continue having her natural yoghurt every day along with the rest of the gang. We're both pleased about that.
