Dog boots

Hi have put this thread in general chat but think it would be best located in this section. Does anyone use dog boots & which are the best ones to buy. Only need 1 boot for back right leg, my pup having a problem walking (on going at the vets) but due to this she keeps catching her pads, scarpping them till there sore, therefore I am looking for a boot for her to wear. She is a Labrador. Unfortunately as it is myself who walks her I have no choice at the moment on a night but to walk her on hard ground rather than soft, hopefully as nights get lighter that will change. Thank you.

Re: Dog boots

the only ones i have experience of are the Mikki boots which are just gash to be honest.

the other ones are from Trixie, called Walkers i think. you get a pack of two for about £7, these get better reviews from customers.

Re: Dog boots

this was posted by someone else on another forum i use.

Dog boots - Take an old sock and a plastic bag (not biodegradable) and duck tape. Put the sock on the dog and then the plastic bag. Then apply duck tape (with the dog standing preferably) 2 strips forming and X under the foot then wind duck tape around to form a boot. You need to do this fairly loosely as you want to be able to slide the finished boot off the foot. Trim around the top.

When you put the boot on/off then just take a small piece of duck tape and tape to the fur. It comes off easily but sticks better than anything else I've tried. When the bottom starts to wear thin just add more duck tape.

the person who wrote it says she as tried different shop bought types and this works just as wel if not better.
