magnetic collars

Hi,
Just wondered if anyone had any experience in using magnetic collars for general stiffness and joint discomfort.
I am considering one for my boy as he has re-occuring lameness in his left fore due to an old injury.
I do have arnica, rimadyl and metacam in my doggy med cupboard but would pref to aid him without the use of drugs till I have to.
thanks in advance
Lou

one of mine has had a bioflow coller on for a few weeks now and i have to say it seems to be helping as he does not have any lameness after having a run. hes also on glucosamine chrondite, msm and recently cod liver oil.

Re: magnetic collars

I know alot of people swear by them! They didn't work for my wonky boy Cooper but he's always in the sea so the salt water effected it, I passed it on to a friend and her dog had pretty much instant results!!

Cool Re: magnetic collars

My girl has been wearing a collar for about 5wks now, its hard to say, but i put it on her anyway, some people notice it helps straight away, others say a few months, she limps quite bad on her front legs, not at the same time! I put the same blog on another site i am in, and got 11replies back, 8 said it helped their dogs, 3 said no change, but, the orthapeadic surgeon that was treating my dog, told me to put 1 on her and just forget about it, so i do, worth a try i say, but then i would try anything as would most dog owners!!!

Re: magnetic collars

Hi,
Thanks for the feed back, was half convinced to try one any way, now with ur comments and the fact he is really lame tonight (get home from work to find he jumped fence to chase cat....60kg dog landing on an injured fore AHHH) me thinks we shall give it a go.
Could also do with a new brain for my boy hopefully one that is programed with the knowledge that a fence is to keep dogs in and cats are infinatley quicker and more agile than a great clumsy, hairy leonberger!
Thank u all again
Lou

Wink Re: magnetic collars

What leg is your dog lame on,?how old is he? and what happened, just interesred cos my dog limps on her left leg most of the time, sometimes the right, and just like to hear what people give their dogs to help them with their limping.
