Re: Frontline Drontal Combo
This is the combo we use on both dog and cats. Never had any issues. I used Advocate once on the dog and he was sick for days. Vets said it was to much for his system. They had prescribed it!!!!

Re: Frontline Drontal Combo
Glad to hear you are getting on with it. I'm switching my cats to the same combo also. They were fine on Advocate but it's easier if they're all on the same stuff.
Does anyone have a preference for Drontal over Milbemax? Milbemax has been recommended to me but it would mean seeing the vet and paying £25 for the consultation before I can get it. |

I dont flea and worm at the same time, in fact i only worm my dogs about every 9mnths, cos i know what they eat.!! And i use Frontline Plus, from a place called Discount Vet supplies, (online) and this kills the fleas, eggs and Larvae, unlike the frontline you get here that only kills the fleas, it also kills ticks, it is imported from Australia, and used in hot countries. i paid under £30 for 6 pippettes last May, and still have 2 left, and this is for large dogs.Good value or what!!

Re: Frontline Drontal Combo
I used a website called petmeds. The frontline was just over £25 for 6 pipettes.
hairydog, which wormer do you use that has 9 month intervals? I though the biggest risk of worm infestation actually comes from fleas, not what they eat? |

Re: Frontline Drontal Combo
HI sypher, not sure which 1 i wormed them with last time, as i bought it from the kennels i use, and you are right , fleas are the main problem for worms but also old crap they might eat, and as they dont have fleas, i dont worm them as often as some people,

Hi, regarding the frontline plus, i could not find the site i bought them from lasttime either, but have a phone nmbr )800 035 0746 Mon - fri 9:00-8:00pm. But googled frontline plus for dogs and found a few sites selling it, mostly in dollars, but TLC PET-PLANET sells it in pounds, they reckon 1 pippette is only meant to last a month or so, but i use it more in warm weather or when they get fleas, neither a problem at the moment, they like you to over use every thing on our animals, but i prefer to use common sense, also costs about £30.
