protein levels in food

Hi all,

It was suggested to me i should consider a lower protein food for my 14 week old puppy (he is currently on Purina puppy food) as he is getting a bit "big for him boots".

Does anyone know why that would be or have any thoughts on this?

Thanks

Re: protein levels in food

Who suggested that? Puppies need higher protein for all the growth they are doing - although it's all relative and I don't actually believe protein makes a difference to behaviour as much as some claim

It's probably that he is simply gaining in confidence... in what way is he getting too big for his boots?

Re: protein levels in food

Well i thought that was the point of higher protein in puppy food and he isn't hyper or anything just pushing the boundaries a bit too far.
