Neutering

Well i have booked my chiuhuahua boy to be neutered next Thursday and im sooo nervous !! They never dropped but they move around easily just under the skin so they wont be hard to find.

I know its ridiculous but its still worrying about leaving him on his own at the vets !

I was the same way when Jingi had gotten fixed, I was just terrified. But all went well, but she wouldn't look at me for at least 5 days, she was piiiiiiissssst!

Re: Neutering

I've had all my males, 4, and my bitch done and every single time I get the gitters and feel sick until they are home!! Little Sumo was just done before Xmas and because he was an ex-stud from a puppy farm I thought he'd really notice his 'loss' and have a mental reaction to it...literally by the next day he was bouncing off the walls and he's no different to before without them.

Loads of luck, I'm sure it will go fine. No point me saying don't worry cos you will.

Re: Neutering

Thank you for the support, it is important he is done and he is 2 and so good i would not want him to develop any negative behavioural triats so its preventative too !

Roll on a weeks time when its over with, i have Friday of so i can stay at home with him, who needs kids to worry about - pets are quite enough !!

Re: Neutering

I was the same when we got Misty Spayed. She hates the vets (seems to be getting over that fear if i take her with candy who LOVES the vets)

When they took her in they walked to the back of the vets as i went to the door and she looked at me and tried to follow i felt so bad. But when she came home she was spoilt she wasn't allowed to jump up on anything so i got a spare quilt and put it in our room and she had a double quilt to sleep in. she also got to eat her dinner there and everything.

I'll be the same when candy gets spayed at the end of the year and any pup i keep if keep one and when i take the one my mum wants to be done.
