I have lost my Rottweiler

I have just had to decide to put my 9 year old rotty to sleep - I am so devastated. It was only yesterday - I cant stop crying and thinking about her. I just feel so bad.

I love her to bits.

Just had to share this - sorry

Re: I have lost my Rottweiler

I'm so very sorry for your loss. It's the hardest decision to make, and you were really brave to let her go.

My heart goes out to you. X

Re: I have lost my Rottweiler

Dear Tonkatoy
Devastating news and no worse a time for it to happen. I had to put my 18 year old to sleep last January and that was bad enough but I still had my wonderful six year old dog called Buddy. Unfortunately he too died of parvovirus (despite being innoculated for it) at the end of September. Completely crappy year and I cried and cried and I still do - it takes time and you wouldn't be feeling this bad if you hadn't lost such a great friend. So, take time and cry and feel as bad as you want to - and if someone tells you to pull it together, tell them to bugger off. Time does heal though and I now have had a lagotto romagnolo puppy for six weeks now. He's a handful but he is just what I needed to focus and move on.
Once again, I feel for you and hope that you know what you have to do - be it crying, or eating chocolate, or just getting out of the house for a bit (this helped me a lot).
Best wishes,
Lynne

Hi Tonkatoy
If you could ... and it'd be okay if you couldn't ... upload a photo of your darling girl.
Regards
Lynne

Re: I have lost my Rottweiler

I am thinking of you sweetie.
I am sure you have done it for the right reasons.
Your baby will now be playing over Rainbow Bridge, out of sufference and pain.
Try to think of all the good times, I know it's hard but it will help your broken heart heal.
Take Care sweetie.

Re: I have lost my Rottweiler

You have my deepest sympathy, I know how you are feeling.

I had to have my 12 year old Newfoundland pts a couple of months ago, it is the hardest decision an owner has to make
