Re: I have lost my Rottweiler

Tonkatoy, I really feel for you!

This is awful but please try to hang on to you did the kindest and best thing fro your dog, and she would thank you if she could.

It is heartbreaking, I know, but its worth it for the years of special fun and loyalty we get back.

Re: I have lost my Rottweiler

i had to take a cat to the vets and all i could do was cry as i could not stop thinking of chili - I felt pathetic but the vet staff understood

i picked up her ashes at the same time and have started to not get so upset now i have her back with me but it is such a shame she was brilliant and i dont think i could ever find another like her

Thank you all so much for your support and kind words it has helped

Re: I have lost my Rottweiler

Sorry to hear of your loss, i lost my old man just before xmas and still hear him in the house and feel his presence. My friend gave me this poem and i read it every day and it helps, i'd like to share it with you and hope you feel strength and comfort as i did.

Look not where I was
For i am not there
My spirit is free
I am everywhere

In the air that you breath
In the sounds that you hear
Don't cry for me Mum
My spirit is near

I'll watch over you
From the other side
I'll be the one running
New friends by my side

Smile at my memory
Remember in your heart
This isn't the end
Its a brand new start

Re: I have lost my Rottweiler

Hi
Just wondering how things are for you now?
Unless you've went through the lost of a pet (be it cat, dog or fish!), folks don't really understand that it takes ages and ages to get back to any kind of even keel. I hope that things have gotten better and a bit easier for you. I now have Archie (Lagotto Romagnolo in Scotland - ARCHIE - Home) and although he certainly doesn't replace my two lost boys ... he never really gives me time to worry too long.
Regards
Lynne
