Maya the lab.... Possible lymphoma

My 4 year old lab went for her booster on Monday and I mentioned to yet that in last few weeks she's started snoring....and badly, and her breath stinks. Today she went in for investigation and she had to have a tonsil and a lymph gland removed and sent off for biopsy. The vet said its 50/50 so till the 14th we won't know.

Needless to say I'm beside my self, I'm both upset and anxious at the thought of loosing her. She hasn't had any other signs, she isn't off her food, no weight loss, still acts her usual self. Vet also mentioned he x rayed her chest and it was all clear.

The wait is killing me, has anyone been through this? Is there any thing else it could be apart from lymphoma. From what I've read online it's not looking good.

She's asleep on my bed now after a very tiring and anxious day at the vet and I just can't imagine being without her.

I haven't been through the same so cannot offer advice, but didn't want your thread to go unanswered. I can imagine just how frightened and upset you must be feeling and just wanted to say that I hope the biopsy results are better than you are expecting.

The forum has many experienced and helpful members and I am sure that somebody with far more knowledge than me will be along soon.

Re: Maya the lab.... Possible lymphoma

Hi, I went through Lymphoma with my late Lab Redd, hopefully your results come back clear, sometimes infections can cause the lymph glands to swell up hopefully some members with more medical knowledge will come along with more advice. I really wish you luck and hope results are clear, If it is Lymphoma there is treatment that can extend the dogs life.

Dog with Lymphoma, undergoing chemo, help?!

This thread may help, It was a thread I updated during Redds Chemo, from start to end, there is a lot there but there is some good info in there from other members.
