Any Ideas?

I had an absolute panic friday night as I found a lump on my beloved boy.
My immediate reaction was OMG its osteosarcoma and panic and tears followed.
Obviously this all had to happen friday night and I had an extra shift the following day and am not able to take him in to get Xrayed till Tuesday
The lump has appeared very suddenly but its not the usual place for osteosarc. It is below the hock more or less where the tarsal bones meet the talus. This is a straw I am clutching to as I do not want to lose my boy even though I know its going to happen one day.
It is a very hard lump that circles that part of the leg and he is lame on that leg at the moment which i am treating with 100mg rimadyl twice daily.
My other possabilities which I wondered if any of you had come accross as I havent are canine circumscripta or canine gout??

Nothing apart from painkillers.
He means the world to me and life without Harry? If I didnt have any dependants he wouldnt go on his own.
