I'm thinking of changing Dex onto either Skinners or Arden Grange next week. But if it's the protein that is making him stink so much then he is not gonna be any better on Arden surely???

Cheers
From your Avatar picture Im guessing he is a Siberian? To be honest years ago nearly 20 to be eact when I got my first one I was told never use Eukunuba, it sends siberians into orbit. So looks like its true.

It can tend to make then hyper too.

Also looking at Skinners as I've heard it's very good but it's 40% rice so why then is it a yellow? Agrhhhhh!
I wish she would just let me feed him raw!

I've just ordered a 15kg bag of Arden Grange Puppy Food from Feedem Pet Supplies (one of my regular suppliers along with Berriewoods) for £35.99 and free delivery.

Re: My pup stinks!

We have a Beagle who has Skinners (it was recomended by her breader!) - and for us its a great choice!

Not only is it a great price, but its actually VAT free cause its for working dogs.

Our pup loves it and wolfs the lot - since reading posts on here I have been looking into the RAW diet, but to be honest I think I am a little to "chicken" for this type of diet!!

Re: My pup stinks!

babycham - Dex is 15 weeks not 15 months and ye about £40 for 15Kg.

Six - That's good to know that they need the puppy food, I thought they did because of the higher protein content to aid their growing? Budget is about the same as the Eukunuba but I can stretch to more if needed, I won't pay more than £50 for 15Kg but I do want him to eat well.

Sled dog hotel - He is a Sibe X Mal, he looks allot like his mum though (Sibe).

Twiggy & Bella - Thanks

its the current cheapest price I can find, it used to be cheaper and presumably like everything else will only get more expensive in time but you dont need to pay the fish4dogs homepage prices although it is worth mentioning that they do often have their own special deals like this week food at half price

Finest Salmon 4 Dogs Complete - Small Bite

apologies, in the dry food index thread you say 15 months.
like sixstar though I also believe there is no need for puppy food at any age,
my 11 week old pup is on naturediet adult and the same raw food as the big dogs

Try it ,it was the best thing I have ever done for me and my dogs, who love it. I was worried they would choke or not get all the protein, vits etc they need but I have never seen them look so good. My only regret is that I didn't do it years ago
