I cant really comment on the cans. I've never used them. Used a couple of pouches a long time ago.

When you mention German made, I remember previous threads where it's sounded v similar to some of the Zooplus brands I've bought. Looking at the ingredients it reminds me of Lukullus - meat, bit of veg, bit of carb and an oil. You could def be right with that theory. Lukullus has some more unusual proteins and works out a bit cheaper too

Unfortunately altho I love the idea of LK with it's various bits and bobs, Heidi does much better on Rinti and Rocco without them

I use NM cans quite often, mainly the chicken and potato as its quite solid in the can.
I do also buy the mixed box of pouches but they are more softer in texture but they seem to have no bad result from those either
