Re: freezer space and storage.

I have a small freezer which I manage to fit, just over a months food for Louie and about an extra week's worth for the two that visit.

He often saves bits for me, last time a sack full of pigs tails and yet I won't have room for any bits. You will find that you always need more space, having said that I won't need any more food for the rest of the month.

I often wonder why some people seem to spend more on food than I do. I paid Scott £36 today, the butcher will cost £10 tomorrow and I will spend around £6 on offal for the month. So that's around £52 for a month to feed all these dogs and I will still have some left over. How it it so much more expensive for other feeders?
I spend £80 on 4ish months worth of food

Re: freezer space and storage.

We only have a fridge freezer, with 3 freezer shelves. Two of those are for Sherlock's food and one for us (if we're lucky). I can fit about 6 weeks' worth of frozen minces into that plus a few bones/chicken wings. It isn't cheap, because of the £10 delivery fee, but it's still just cheaper than the commercial food Sherlock was on before he went raw. It works out at about £30 a month for his minces, plus the extra for chicken wings, eggs, etc.

I'd love to have another freezer, but we just don't have any room in our one bed flat, plus it's rented so we can't make any adjustments (like wiring up the outside cupboard). I can only dream of the day we can afford a mortgage on a house and Sherlock can have his very own freezer!
