Re: 4 year old bichon in the vets again

thank you everyone for the support you are giving me, the insurance policy is a 12 month one which is abit of a bummer! trying to find out whether I can swap for the lifetime cover if he needs it but we don't know if it is going to end that way, we are possibly thinking he is going to have an OP we don't know yet until tomorrow morning.

waiting is a pain i wish it would end soon....

so far he has had symptoms of
blood in stools
blood in vomit
not eating or drinking for a week
lethargic

My insurance policy for Ferdie is for £3000 per illness per 12 months, and I imagine yours is similar though I don't know the amount. That means that you can claim up to that amount for each illness within the 12 months. Also with mine, if the dog goes to a different vet, or a clinic for scans, it is a separate claim so that is another £3,000.

You should be concerned about that; getting your dog better is the most important thing and worry about the money afterwards.

I don't think you should try and change your insurance, you will not be covered for this illness. Please check and get everything in writing before doing anything with your policy
