Re: Stag bars. Yes or no?

I've never given a dog a stag bar but are they as hard as a marrow bone? I find marrow bones entertain the dogs ok but larger dogs have such powerful jaws that they break bits of bone off and swallow them to be sicked up in the middle of the night on the carpet! Does the same happen with stag bars? Also I've had dogs chip teeth on marrow bones.

Re: Stag bars. Yes or no?

Pippin is really enjoying his.

The antlers have a lot more marrow than a bone. The hard outer shell is actually quite thin. So if they do break it off, it's not too much of a large chunk.

Re: Stag bars. Yes or no?

Its really not worth buying the stag bars.
They are ridiculously over priced.

I got this locally at a boot fair. I think it had just been found in a forest.
next to an iphone for size comparison.
This cost me £4. From stag bars it would have cost around £70.

Also, if you have the whole thing including the crown you know that the antlers are from culled stock, or fallen naturally.
From other sources they may have been hacked off live deer.
