my dog was bitten

hi, not sure if this is the proper place for this post, feel free to move it. anyway i have a dog that ive had since i was 8 and i am 25 now. anyway he is so hard headed, never listens and will constantly bark at my other dogs, well one of my other dogs bit him in the face the other day and now his face is swollen and he wont let me touch anywhere near his face. i did wash him because he had some blood in his fur. i cant afford to take him to the vet and there are no serious wounds that i can see, can anyone suggest something that i can pick up at Southern States or some other place that might help fight infection.

Re: my dog was bitten

Well for a start I strongly suggest you get insurance because it is unfair for your dog to suffer because you don't have the money. And make sure its one that covers lifetime, because some of the more commercial only insure up to a certain age.

If you're sure he is safe and won't he wont have a go if you hurt him, try using some (weak) salt water twice a day and if their are any signs of infection you need to get him to a vet asap, otherwise dogs tend to heal pretty fast

(Don't take this as given, its just what I've picked up from having dogs and from the vets etc)
