Not sure - will have a look on the website. But puppy food is a bit of a gimmick anyway. The protein will be fine in the adult one. You could always supplement with a small amount of the turkey wet puppy trays (they keep for 48 hours in the fridge, boxes of 12 are around £8. Loads of people use the WW trays on here.

Looks like the Turkey and Veg is only in Adult - like I said, you could always add some of the wet food. Otherwise, I would continue with the Turkey and Rice Puppy and the gas will probably settle. Have you tried the lamb and rice?

Forgot to say, PAH will often give you a free 2kg bag of their WW food to try if you ask for a sample. You could maybe try another flavour then, but I'd definitely swop the Advanced Nutrition food for the WW. Up to you, of course!

Re: Pets At Home (Vet Approved) Feed (FrEsh Chicken vs Chicken Meal)

yeah, the salmon & potato one was adult we tried (1-7 yrs) - the pieces were small enough for her to swallow them whole almost when they were wet & soft, she was sick once later on (whilst on Salmon & Potato and some of the kibble pieces in her vomit were still whole, big round things)

is it OK to wetten/soften the food with warm water? only bad thing is she wolfs it down and gets hiccups..at least dry forces her to chew and take her time

thanks for the help to everyone

Absolutely! I preferred to add warm water when I fed some kibble, but have to say I don't like a "kibble-only" diet myself, just my personal preference. I prefer wet food for Henry and just use a tiny amount of kibble as a "topper". If you're happy with kibble, that's fine but I would definitely add some warm water. Just noticed the WW trays are 2 for £16 at the moment (that's 2 x boxes of 12).

You could always get the WW trays (which are v good btw), take a chunk and add warm water so it's like a gruel and then mix in the kibble, that way it all gets coated, she gets the benefit if a bit of wet and plenty of water to aid the digestion of the kibble (Trays would last for ages too)

well she went to deal with it and came back with Turkey & rice again..lol - see if she settles on it cos the gas was appearing to subside, if not then were gunna try Turkey & Vegetable cos we think it may be the rice (if it continues) - I see the Turkey & Vegetable costs more cos it has no cereal or wheat in , well costs about same but you get much less in weight.

at Xmas we tried her on James Well Beloved Wet Foot, just one packet that we mixed in with her Fellsmans she was on at the time and it went through her like a rocket and gave her the runs.

I will keep you posted and a big THANKS for the help and replies

Re: Pets At Home (Vet Approved) Feed (FrEsh Chicken vs Chicken Meal)

I fed my girls as pups WW salmon and potato puppy kibble untill 6- 8 months as adult size are quite large pieces when swallowed whole.
Its the same cost for pup as adult so that maybe an option for you

I also dont like to feed dry alone and use WW trays to moisten the kibble.
