30% protein is very high, particularly for a developing pup. And I'm not sure what prairie meal is, am hoping someone else has heard of it??

Have a look at the sticky in the section on dry foods. That will give you some idea. I dont think the food you mention is listed but there are a few with similar ingredients to give you an idea.

Apart from the Prairie meal which comes from maize, it's not too bad. Depends on how much it costs. Sometimes it's possible to find a much better food for the same price.

High amounts of maize, rice and 'prairie meal' ie more maize. Too much cereal for my tastes and no doubt a fair few quid given the decency of the other ingredients. There's better out there, TBH.

Prairie Meal is a by product of cooking maize if I remember rightly.

To be honest that food I think goes roughly along side. Wainwrights, Skinners, and JWB.

So although better than Wagg/ Pedigree still not amazing and costs at lot for what it is.
Dogless and cinammontoast like this.

In the petshops around me, they seem to think that Eukanuba and Royal Canin are the best dogfood available in the world. They haven't even heard of good foods

I paid €50 for this bag so I cant afford to throw it away. I'll be getting Orijen from zooplus from now on once this bag is finished.

Why? Developing children don't need more protein, they just need good quality food to develop, and an unnatural growth rate, boosted by too high a protein, can be detrimental.

Just to give you an idea, it's got more protein in there than my OH gives his adult working dogs throughout the working season.

Pretty much all of the super premium puppy foods have around this level of protein.
