tartar buildup

Hello, one of the poochs has some build up & the gums getting a bit angry & was wondering if any one had any recommendations on solutions with tackling it?
the vet has given us some paste & a brush, were are trying that at the moment. they mentioned about a liquid you added to water & some tablets, anybody know of any?

hoping to try raw soon & have heard it's good for the nashers

Re: tartar buildup

Oooh yuck that is not very attractive.

You could try any of the following whilst you are plucking up the courage to give a raw bone:

Fragaria for Dogs and Cats (3C)

Plaque Off --- Petremedies

Logic Oral Hygiene Gel for Cats Dogs 70g Logic Hygiene for Sale

Nothing will clean teeth up like the raw diet - so sooner you start the better thankfully your dogs teeth don't look too bad, so they shouldnt take long to clean up with lots of nice meaty bones and chewy chunks of meat

My 9 year old raw fed lad has perfect pearly whites - it really is the best thing you can do for teeth!

Good for you

Lots to read in these threads including common errors that people feel they make during the early stages before they gain confidence.

As a new member I found the search feature very useful to pick up information that has been covered before.
