How do you know when a season has finished?

May be a silly question, but it's been 2 weeks and 2 days since we noticed the bleeding, although her vulva had been slightly swollen for the week or so prior to that, and the bleeding is now much less frequent (although it was never particularly heavy to begin with) and the vulva and nipples look like they are going down again, but what does everyone else do to judge when the season has finished and can take their dogs back out properly? I believe the final stages of the season aren't fertile so there's not a real risk of a pregnancy, but Izzy wont like the attention she may still get!

On a related note - we have family coming to stay this weekend with their dog Millie. Izzy should be pretty much at the end of her season but I'm not going to let her go to the park this weekend, will leave it a little longer, but should we allow Millie to go? She's 4 and has been spayed, but because she's been in the house with Izzy would she get the scent all over her and result in unwanted attention from any boys in the park? She isn't aggressive, but she would probably get grumpy if they tried humping her!
