Re: Teeth cleaning ...

You can get partma ham bones from pet shops and places like home bargains. The bones are not cooked and excellent for cleaning teeth, as well as being tasty.

Re: Teeth cleaning ...

My dogs have a small build up of tartar on their top canines even though they are raw fed but I dont worry about it. Canines are not the teeth that they rip and chew with so they will get more of a build up than their incisors. If you look on wildlife programmes, even lions have mucky canines!

I've tried toothbrushes in the past when my dogs were on kibble, tried to introduce it to them as pups but it never took off. Now I find RMB's do the trick nicely.

Raw bones-beef knuckle bones are great. And, if you don't want to use toothbrush for your dog, try a nubby-surfaced rubber cap. These are like rubber toothbrushes and provide a gentle cleaning.

Yes I agree. I've had dogs since before most of you were born and have never had any trouble with their teeth until Quiver. My youngster is very closely related to her and they both have dreadful teeth. Its obviously in the genes, in fact the breeder knows it is because her own dogs are fed raw and their teeth are not very good either.

I'm not complaining because both dogs are wonderful in other ways and at the moment I'm using Logic Oral Gel with Quiver and Hatchwell's tooth whitening powder on the youngster and their teeth are not looking too bad.

Re: Teeth cleaning ...

mine are raw fed as well and the vets always comment on how good their teeth are, I do find that chicken wings dont produce enough chewing action as two chews and they are gone but a decent chicken carcuss or turkey back are much better.
