Raw food whoops

I have given Rio odd raw meal, meaty bones, mince etc a few times. but after reading the sticky went off to Morrisons got pigs trotters, pork rind, chicken thighs, drumsticks and a mackerel. I already had some rabbit mince defrosted.

So I was bagging it up and he was sat looking very interested this is where the whoops came in I gave him some rabbit mince, a chicken drumstick and a mackerel and a dollop of Bio yogurt.... I know I should have just stuck to one kind of meat but I just wasn't thinking
He ate mince first loved the yogurt bit puzzled over the chicken for about 1/2 a minute sort of struggled with the fish but down it all went.
He then walked around licking his lips looking for more greedy boy
No doubt I will be punished for my lack of thinking in the early hours.
But he loved it I am going to put an order in at Raw2go

Well no adverse reactions to his first very mixed raw meal. Just one thing instead of sitting staring at the food cupboard waiting for breakfast after his morning wee he went back to bed

Re: Raw food whoops

I was thinking of having a raw dog and cat household if I can make room for another freezer here so I gave the cat some raw chicken for a first taster test. He came used to things being smothered in jelly but he fair whoofed it down. I was very pleased until there was an unintended result on my floor
I hope you get away with it.

Re: Raw food whoops

I was surprised when i went into my local co-op supermarket today,a whole freezer is now stocked with frozen raw food for animals.
Just wished they would stop filling all the shelves with bakers !!!!!

Re: Raw food whoops

Some show no ill effects for a sudden switch with a variety of protein sources. When mine came from the breeder, I just fed him small amounts of what the big ones were getting even though he was weaned on kibble. Its the way we have always done it whith anything we have brought in, although not something I'd recommend for people new to raw to do. Luckily, ours grow up with the constitution of an ox
