I have a 9 week old Dogue de Bordeaux puppy which I was told by the breeder to feed him Royal Cannin Giant breed puppy food as that is what he feeds his parents on & I was given a small bag with the puppy pack he also told me to put some raw meat either mince or chicken mince which I have been doing.

I noticed that one leg was starting to bow and was concerned and have had him checked out by the vets who said it will be something that he will grow out of and its probably down to to much protein in his food that could cause one leg to grow more than the other, I have stopped adding a little raw meat to his dry food and he does not seem to be bothered about eating it, his leg does seem to look alot better now that I have stopped putting meat into it.

I dont think he is keen on the Royal Cannin food I have read some info and found some people saying its full of bulking up rubbish, so does any body have any suggestions as to what to feed him or anyone had any similar problem with there dog and could give me some good info as I would really appreciate it.

Would Hyper allergenic food be better as that seems to have good reviews about it.

Out of preference, if wanting to feed commercial food I would look at Orijin Large Breed puppy food and Arcana Large Breed puppy food.
