Dog not wanting to go out

Hello everyone... I'm worried about my dog, she's a jack russell x yorkie 15 months old. since sunday she hasn't eaten much and is refusing to walk outside. She gets excited when I get the lead out and is fine until we get out of the building when she just sits down and wont walk. No amount of coaxing will make her come with me. When I took her out on her last walk sunday fireworks were goin off and she has absolutely hated them over the weekend, I'm wondering if that has frightened her and made her not want to go around that route anymore but even in the daylight she isn't havin any of it!!
Thanks in advance for any info )

Re: Dog not wanting to go out

I would think it is the fear of fireworks going off that is upsetting her. Not sure how best to handle this - I think if the dog were small enough which I believe yours is I would carry her for a while and then put her down and see how it goes.

I've carried her about half way then put her down, she does her business but can't get home quick enough! I'll just leave it a while and see how she goes on.
Thanks for your replies though

Just keep doing that then and each day I am sure she will gain her confidence back and go a little further.
