Kelly (our lab) was working today picking up phesants at the local syndicate. My OH got back and noticed she was bleeding ,after checking her over she had a cut on her pastern (bit above her pad). We stopped the bleeding but as soon as she moved again it was gushing blood so we ended up at the vets at 8pm tonight, she's had an anaesthetic and had about 5 vessels clamped, shes been stitched, stapled and bandaged. We think she cut it on some corrugated iron that had been left at the edge of a field.

It was really interesting as we got to stay and help out as our vet was on her own (i wish i was a vet now ).

Anyway, i just had to post this pic of her being very spoilt with her blanket and fluffy cushion!!..oh and check out the bedside vigil.

Im sure escaping her kennel for the comfort of a few nights in the house will outway the pain she was in
