Orijen

Thought I would start a thread about this brand of food.

Interested to hear from other people feeding this - what are your experiences and what do you think of the food?

My 8 month old dobe has been on this for a week now and it seems to be going down very well at the moment!

Re: Orijen

Oijen is very good food I sell it where I work, just keep an eye on your dogs weight as they require less of the orijen than other dog food.....Jill

Agreed, I swapped a while back to Orijen - they need less and they don't seem to notice. Even my greedy boy!!
All do well and coats ect are great.

Re: Orijen

I am giving him about 450g a day at the moment, will keep an eye on his weight.

His poo's are still much better than they were so I hope this suits him well!

Re: Orijen

I bought one of their small bags to try for Ted - not a good idea, he's been horribly sick and utterly miserable all day, he could hardly digest it. Back to JWB for us!

Re: Orijen

When i buy a trail sized bag I use it like treats a couple of kibbles at a time. If you gave your dog a full meal that would be why his tummy was upset any time you change food it needs to be gradually over a week to 10 days.....Jill

Re: Orijen

Well we are about 6 weeks and 1 1/2 bags into our Orijen experiment and all seems well!

He has put a bit of weight on which is good because he was getting a bit skinny. I supplement the Orijen with 1lb of raw tripe a day to help this.

His poo's are the most consistent they have ever been. He seems to be gaining some lovely muscle tone and his coat is amazing (he does have a teaspoon of organic golden flax seed oil in the evening which helps digestion and coat).

It is definately an improvement over the Arden Grange that he was on.

Will post another update in a months time!
