Heated dog bed

Hi
i don't know if this post is in the right area or not.
But has anybody used one of these heated dog beds how useful are they and are they safe?
I have been looking at them on the internet for one of my dogs who has a heart murmur and just recently developed arthritis in one of her front legs and slightly in one of her back legs.
I have seen they sell heated mats or heated beds prices seem to range from £10 to £50/£60 depending on the size you want.
Any help would be great
