Re: Csj
we feed csj to the shepherd but are going to change, it has risen in price twice this year and his poop is softish somedays and has bits of corn in that is the main reason we are changing his food, i'm looking at chudleys or dylan chicken & rice haven't decided yet.

I can't tell you a lot about the food, because I feed it to my dogs occassionly (depends if I've remembered to order it in time
) but i know for us it's been a fantastic food! My dogs used to be fed a number of different foods (one being james well beloved but my local pet shop was quite pricy and we had to pay £49.99 for a 15 kg bag. Which would only last two weeks) Their coats look great, they are happy but not 'hyper', they never have the runs or upset tummies, and generally look great. ![]() I can't comment on ingredients, just looking at the list completely confuses me! But so far, so good! It's also a great value for money, the one I usually buy is only £20.80 (complete tripe) but still good quality IMO. ![]() Admittedly there are better foods, but most for at least double the price tag! A few other brands I've found to be good and also good value for money- Whites Premium Dog Food - Product Listing And also.. Dry Dog Food | Best Additive free Dogs Food (I've recently received samples of these and the dogs love it! So I'm thinking about changing over to this soon. ![]()

Re: Csj
Not sure which CSJ variety you've got a sample for but their food is v popular and customer service is excellent. (I keep meaning to order some DemBones
)The more expensive varities have less cereals but it depends on your budget and how your dog gets along with cereal. Im not sure how much the RDA's are, sometimes with the cheaper brands you have to feed more and overall it doesnt save a lot. ![]()

Re: Csj
If you've not got a local stockist delivery really bumps the price up. If you have it looks like an okay budget food. If you've not got a local stockist IMHO it makes it over priced for what it is, because it puts it up there with Skinners duck/salmon and rice, which is IMO the best budget food around.

Re: Csj
Pick me
![]() I've been using CSJ hi-lost since last November and love it Tummel's coat is amazing, his poo is always really good and he loves it I used to pay £11 for a bag and now it's £11.50 but it's still a good price for a good food ![]() RDA on hi-lost for a 32Kg dog is 350g per day, Tummel is about 44/45kg and he eats 500/550g per day(depending on exercise he may get some more for his dinner). Before i got CSJ Tummel was on wainwrights which he liked but his coat was really dry(and his skin) and he was pretty hyper(could spend hours trying to tire him with walks/play/training and no results) but on CSJ he calmed right down, he still loves his walks and play but he's happy to snooze for a few hours too ![]() I think CSJ is a fairly underrated food as people see the prices and think it's crap but it's been brilliant for us, especially as we're now having a hard time financially but Tummels still getting the same food as it's in our budget. I also have dem bones, Tummel gets 1 or 2 a day(2 if he's eaten something i think might not agree with him) as a bedtime treat and he loves them ![]()
