Re: Worried after poppy's op..
I think you need to ring your vet for advice - it's a big op so she will need recovery time.
Try giving her a some water with a little honey in it as she must not get dehydrated. But do ring now, the vet can help a lot by phone. Sgurr |

Re: Worried after poppy's op..
you need to reduce your heat supply to her she could be suffering heat exhaustion her system will take several days to leave her system during which time her ability to self regulate will be affected but contact your vet and let us know how she is doing ask what anesthetic was used and pm Tash a number if you are still concerened

Re: Worried after poppy's op..
I didn't ring in end, she's eaten. Not a lot but it's progress, her temp is normal so I'm not worried about infection, I think she might just take a couple of days to start perking up, I put some water in my mug and drank out of it so she thought she was getting something really tasty and se has now drank too but I will be keeping a very close eye on her!!
I just can't bear to see her in pain! I also think she has a sore throat as she keeps half yawning, half swallowing then closing her eyes. Poor baby!! Thank You for advice. xxx
