Hi,
Our dog Daisy, and 18 month old Lurcher, has an extra nipple. She has just been in season and this extra nipple and the area around it seems bigger then the rest. Is this normal? Should we be concerned? We havent had her long and shes due for a general check up at the vets so will ask about this, but in the mean time has anyone got any info regarding this?

One of my bitches only has nine nipples, it isn't that unusual to have a different number. And both my bitches have what appear to be double nipples on the last set down closest to the vulva, again, not at all uncommon.

Definitely get the vet to check if you're not sure, and always do keep a check on their nipples, I tend to check my two over once a day, usually involves a belly rub which is just awful

What about the fact the spare nipple and surrounding area is slightly larger? WHen you check yours Sleeping_Lion what are you looking for? Lumps under the skin?
