Cool good food?

with a great response from our members I can plainly see Bakers just has to go.
Can anyone suggest a good healthy alternative that won't break the bank?
thanks

Re: good food?

Thanks very much. 15KG bag for £20. Very good. Looking at the ingredients there's no contest. Just asked for a sample. Thanks for your advice.

Re: good food?

Hi I tried some CSJ food on my dog earlier (3 sample packs)

He loved it.. he isnt a great fan of dried food.. but ate the lot..

Is it good food?. It seams ok. It just sounds to good to be true.

Re: good food?

Skinners Field and Trial salmon or duck is a good middle of the road food, ingredients are similar to Burns for a lot less !

The meat content is not enough but you could supplement it with some Naturediet or similar to make up for that.

Re: good food?

Plenty of good foods around.

Orijen
Acana
Taste of the wild
Arden grange
Barking heads
Fish4dogs
Wainwrights
Skinners
Natural dog food company
Csj
Vitalin cereal free

There's more. But I can't think of them right now.

For budget food you'll not get better then skinners salmon/duck. If not, there's something there for every budget.

Re: good food?

harry has csj champ, and the gravy which he loves, and has butchers tripe a tiny bit on top, cos he wont eat dry. other times he has tuna fish on top or raw mince.

Skinners is also very good in my opinion.

My 15kg sack costs me £16 from the local pet shop, thaqts for the Maintenance though.

Arden Grange for Roo costs me about £23 quid for the 7kg sack.

Both these last me a good 2 months.

Re: good food?

I've been using CSJ for 8 months now, i have no complaints and Tummel loves it

I use the hi-lost which is £11.50 a bag for me I also get the dem bones as they're very good for cleaning teeth and the poppets which i use for training indoors or in the garden I had had the wee cod treats but Tummel wasn't so keen and they're a bit big and hard to cut for training treats
