OMG the pup ate cat poo

Turn my back in the kitchen for 2 mins doing the washing machine and turn to find Cashew munching on fresh cat poo in the litter tray. Maguire just did his business and walked off 10 mins earlier.

Please tell me it wont kill her. I know cat poo is pretty toxic stuff. I was sorting out her lunch whilst doing the washing, she just must have been hungry!!

Anything i should worry about?

Dont worry, moment of panic there. Googled it and apparently it wont kill her. I really am neurotic when it comes to this puppy!

Re: OMG the pup ate cat poo

I hope you arent too neurotic coz cat poop will be the least of your problems!!
Wait til she discovers fox poop and horse poop and cow poop and chicken poop and rabbit poop and and and..........!!!!!

(just try and keep the litter tray somewhere inaccessible coz cat poop is to dogs what Jaffa cakes are to people!)

Not too uncommon for pups to eat their own either.

Re: OMG the pup ate cat poo

get used to it lol syd is the only dog i`ve owned who doesn`t make a b-line for the cat cookie jar anytime the opportunity arises i keep mine behind a stairgate cause otherwise jake would just munch on it till it was gone he`s quite partial to deer/reindeer/horse/duck/rabbit....erm actually any type of poop really other than dog. apparently fox poop isnt as tasty though but my gawd it`s the best dam thing to roll in

Dog delicacey...My dallie is an expert at clearing up cat crap All the cats around here seem to think my flower beds are a public loo. Water pistols are the weapon of choice, to stop both

Re: OMG the pup ate cat poo

Haha thanks everyone! The cats have one of those cat loos, so its covered over, didn't think she would suss out how to get into it so soon.

And she rolled in it . . . Just given her a bath, she stank. She goes for her first walk next Thurs - OMG i cant wait. We live in North Wales surrounded by animal poop of all kinds lol.

Its been one of those days, Maguire the cat just limped in the back door after the poop incident with injured carpal pads. Put a thread up in the cat section, but wont they be the same as dogs to treat?

Iv cleaned them up, nothing stuck in them, just look like they both ripped, perhaps as he jumped on a wall (or hung off it )
Any thoughts?
