Re: Itchy puppy

Hi,
congratulation on your little puppy. I bet the time is flying by

Afraid I'm with the others and would try him on a different food. My last dog had a lot of Autarky problem free but Heidi, my little terrier x couldnt get on with it.

I know it's a minefield and you've probably already sussed most of it but as a general rule, supermarket brands are out. Keep the cereal down to a minimum and the meat content as high as your budget can go.

If you decide to go down this route, I would still do a gradual change over even tho you want him off the Autarky, it's not worth risking tum upsets. Perhaps get a small bag of something first. Or you may want to consider wet food. Mine had more tum probs than skin and we've ended up on wet.

Sudocrem will def help as long as he doesnt start licking it off. I have an aloe vera plant and the sap is excellent for healing and soothing so I use that for most things.

Hope you little one is soon feeling more comfy
