Exclamation Please help, something came over my dog, his mouth starts quivering

My 7 year old French bulldog mix has recently started becoming strange. At random time his mouth will start quivering an he'll get aggressive and start biting. Recently he bit my toes quite hard and it started bleeding. It seems like he's going crazy when this happens. He's a sweet dog most the time. It's scary when this happens does anyone know whats going on with him? Is there anything I can do to help him? If we don't fix this soon my mom says she'll have to give him away and I can't let that happen he's our dog and we're responsible for him, and I love him does anyone know what's happening to him? We live in a hot country if that helps. Please help this started becoming a really big problem a few weeks ago, I need to figure out a way to help him. when his mouth starts quivering he'll bite anyone who touches him.

This really sounds as though something neurological is going on. You must get your dog examined by a vet urgently before you do anything else.

You don't live in a country where there is rabies do you? Giving a dog like this away is a dangerous thing to do. Be a responsible owner and take him to the vet to find out exactly whats wrong with him, it may be behavioural, a tumour or something else

Sounds like your dog is having some kind of seizure. I have to say that were it my dog he'd be straight to the vets, not only for his sake but for the safety of others he might bite.
Hope you get it sorted. Pete

Of Course! I was thrown by the going crazy bit, my Mischief stayed in one place during her seizure and I knew enough not to touch her after my epileptic cat who was asleep on my knees suddenly bit REALLY hard into my hand and didnt let go for what seemed an eternity I was given this link last week have a look at types of seizures

If you are living in a hot country I'm guessing you are not living In the UK !!!

Doubt it's rabies as has been going on for at least a month by the sounds of it and the dog would be dead by now if that was the case.

However definitely sounds like a neurological problem as above, and I would get a vets opinion pretty soon.

Haven't a clue how long animals can harbour rabies for, can't humans harbour it for up to a year?

In dogs, the incubation period is normally between 21 to 80 days, but it may be shorter or longer. Questions and Answers on Rabies
