Phantom pregnancy

About 2 weeks before we were due to have our puppy spayed, she had a heat cycle, she was 5 months old. She is now nearly 8 months old, and is having a phantom pregnancy, confirmed by vet. She was on galastop for around a week and has stopped producing milk, but she is acting really strange, she is walking funny, with her tail right down between her legs and doesnt look happy at all, she is yelping when you pick her up and generally looks sorry for herself, she is still eating, drinking, pooing, weeing and playing ok. Do you think it is due to phantom pregnancy or something different. I will be making a vets appointment tomorrow. Thanks.

Re: Phantom pregnancy

I know Pyometra can be a risk in unspayed bitches which is an infection of the womb, but this is more common in older dogs to be honest. Im sure the vet can get to the bottem of it, let us know how things go at the vets.
