Puppy food recommendations

We are picking the pupster up on Sunday, at the moment he is being fed Arden grange the only place i can get this is online...so i have purchased a 2.5kg bag which is costing me £4.95 delivery

so i am looking to change him on to something more easily available, would be brilliant if i could purchase it from pets at home or milbry hill..so anyone got any recommendations of a good quality puppy food please ?

thanks in advance

Juliex

Re: Puppy food recommendations

burns mini bites are available at milbury hill, and wainwrights is IMO the best p@h food. I've not used either, but never heard a bad word about them.

I don't see the point to puppy food once we're talking quality food, but obviously that's totally personal opinion. Milbury hill also do fish4dogs, not sure if they do the puppy though. But if memory serves, the puppy and aduly of f4d are very similar.

Totally OT but are those your dogs in your sig? They're fabulous EBT are my favourite dogs.

Julie - your first port of call should be your breeder as they will know which foods suit their lines/breed and they can usually suggest an alternative. The breeder may also be able to advise you of another breeder in your area that stocks Arden Grange (if you are happy with it). Whatever food you decide on ensure you do it slowly.

Bet you are excited?

Re: Puppy food recommendations

Charlie is fed on WainWrights chicken & rice dry food - the low fat version. He had a sensitive tummy as a pup, but we haven't had any problems with WW.

Arden Grange is a good food though as far as I know so if it were me I'd look into continuing getting this food. Maybe a local pet shop could order it in for you?

She's stunning. I just love EBT's. Fabulous dogs.

I've head great things about burns mini bites, and may be easier since I assume you'll feed burns adult food. Easier to have them on one food if you can.

AG is a great food though, so if you want to stick with that there's plenty of places that do it well priced online.

Re: Puppy food recommendations

I think someone mentioned Berriewoods had good deals on Arden Grange, if you decided to keep him on that you would have chance to pick a few brains here for the better AG deals.

P@H WW is really good also their Advance Sensitive. It's the only one in the Advance range that I would recommend but compared to WW salmon and potato, the advance is totally cereal free with a higher percentage of salmon.

Good luck with pup - you must be soooo excited
