Growth on inbetween pads on Labrador

I am hoping somebody can help me on this. My 18 month old chocolate labrador has developed a growth inbetween her pads on her front paw. She keeps licking it and wimpering when lying down, however when she is walking around or running there is no limping. Here is a photo so maybe somebody might recognise what it is and what can be done to help.

Thank you for your help.

Hmmm, that could make sense, about 6 weeks ago we put new grass seed down, the dogs are not allowed on the grass, but I guess the seeds could have been blown onto the patio. Did you need to get the seed removed by a vet?

I did take him to the vets because it really scared me when I saw it thought he had some awful growth vet said he could"not find a seed but as he spends most of his time in farm fields he thought that's what it had been, trouble was he licked and licked it even at night but as hes always at his feet I took no notice for about a week,if I was you I"d pop along to the vets just to make sure it could even be a cyst which they get between there toes and then lick and make them worse, let us know how it goes

Ok, thank you for the advice, I'll get her booked in at the vets. I would never even have thought grass seed could cause problems. I have had dogs pretty much all my life and never had that problem, but after more research seems like quite a common problem with dogs, thanks again for enlightening me.
