Meat shortage?

Hi all,

I have just started feeding raw and trying to find online suppliers after spending too much on meat locally so I called Landywood and the lady mentioned something about a meat shortage for the next 12 weeks. I asked what's causing the shortage but I didn't hear the reason.

Can anyone confirm this pls? Will it affect all suppliers?

Much appreciated. Sorry if I am a bit slow and didnt catch on...

Re: Meat shortage?

sounds very odd.

Re: Meat shortage?

I've just put an order in with rawtogo and Lesley hasn't mentioned anything about a meat shortage, infact i am getting 55 packs of mince delivered on wednesday so don't think there is a shortage.

Re: Meat shortage?

Thanks for your replies. Glad that I'm not the only one not sure about the reason behind landywoods meat shortage. I have since been in contact with lesly of rawtogo and Scott from the dogfoodcompany and neither mentioned this.

It's a shame as I would have liked to have had landywoods as an option but the other two have great reviews. Thanks again x

Re: Meat shortage?

Curious. Nothing on the news, which you'd expect if there were a shortage. I got an email from Scott at the Dog Food Company today about getting an order next week and he said nothing about a shortage. A poor excuse, IMO.

Re: Meat shortage?

I had a big debate over who to go with and went with Scott at the dog food company as have been really pleased. Well done for managing to get hold of him when you can he's great just takes a couple attempts sometimes.

I really really wanted to use Landywoods but found out some not great stuff and having a 30kg dog Raw To Go was a bit on the expensive side long term. If you search my past threads or probably even Landywoods in the search bar in the top you will see the issues some people had

Re: Meat shortage?

Like you say Goldenshadow Scott took a little longer to get back to me than Lesley so I have my first online order coming through from her on Thurs yay! I have only a small flat and a small dog so perhaps RTG is the best way to go as I can imagine that even £20 of food is quite a lot.

This place has been great for finding out about raw diet and the suppliers. I have read many different things about Landywoods and to be honest my call to them has put me off a little. Perhaps Cinammontoast is right and it's just Landywood's own way of saying that they can't take on any more customers at the moment by calling it a meat shortage...

In case anyone is in the Romford/Hornchurch area Scott has confirmed that it is £5 delivery and £20 minimum order amount.

Re: Meat shortage?

I also use Scott and my delivery is coming Thursday with no mention of a meat shortage.
Heard lots of good things about raw2go so I expect you will be pleased

Re: Meat shortage?

Are the products from Scott the same as RTG? I.e already blended or is it just the meat so you can make it up yourself with veggies etc..?
