Post TPLO

Hi not been on here for ages. One of my dogs had to have a TPLO last week. Is there anyone else out there who has been through this who can share any experiences please.

Always here to give you support if you need it. First 2 weeks can be pretty traumatic

Re: Post TPLO

The boy in my avatar had two. recovery took a while but he was very independent. The second swelled up horrifically and felt like jelly, yuk. We were ultra careful to allow correct recovery, very slow and easy. The dog was always warmed up with lead walking before being allowed off.

The recovery is long, the result is well worth it. The point is that the dog should be able to live as though he'd never had a problem and ours did. I would wholeheartedly recommend the op.

Message me and I'll check back on here if you want any more info. Be patient and go super slowly, don't be tempted to go too fast. If your dog will go in a cage, it should in order to seriously keep him still, although ours knew to stay still on his bed.
