which food?

If there are any Yorkie owners reading this, I would like to know what you feed your little dogs!.... I have a min yorkie aged 10 who has always had what I call a delicate tummy and occasionally passes mucus in his poo. I've cut out small bite mixer (which I used to add to fresh chicken) as I thought it was that which was upsetting him. ... He's not a big fan of dried food but does munch on Burns small kibble for breakfast! I have also discovered the canned 'applaws' all natural, which is chicken, rice and vegetables, which he likes but it doesn't seem to satisfy him for long...... Any advice would be gratefully received. thank you.

Re: which food?

I feed my small breed (Westie) a mixture of raw food and James Wellbeloved kibble, he's 8 years old now and has been on this diet since a year old and he does extremely well on it.

Applaws cans aren't a complete feed, they are complementary which could explain why they are not satisfying your boy - how about mixing them with the Burns kibble? Would encourage him to eat more of the dry food and make the Applaws a complete diet. Alternatively you could look into one of the complete wet diets such as Naturediet, Natures Menu, Wainwrights etc - or, even better, you could consider a raw diet - fantastic for dicky tums and fussy eaters!
