ear problems
Hi just wondering if anybody can give me some advice.I have a 2 year old shar pei whos having problems with his ears right now,he shakes his head and scrathes his years when he gets excited,i have tried cleaning them countless amount of time but he absouloutley fears the bottle of ear cleaner and wont let me near them any advice? and if i was to take him to the vet what action would they take.Thanks

sounds like he has an ear infection is it brown and smelly?the vets would give you ear drops to try but you can buy some otodex ear drops before paying out on a vet bill.try them and see if this helps first

One of my dogs suffers from repeated ear infections, smelly black wax. I use ear cleaner called oticyl from vets, if he hates the bottle put plenty of it on a swab of cotton wool first and then get some canural drops when the ears are clean, two or three drops in each ear, again I usually put some on my finger tips and poke it gently in that way as my gsd x runs a mile when he sees me even get the bottles out of the cupboard!!
