Thanks for the link for Protexin, I'll have a look at that. Do you use it regularly or only when a stomach upset occurs?
The protexin Prokolin you only use when a stomach upset occurs, I usually find a day or two of that and boiled or grilled chicken or fish no skin and rice usually sorts them out.

Protexin also do something called protexin pro-soluble Dog thats a soluable supplement to encourage normal digestive function that you can use long term it contains beneficial micro organisms for a healthy gut. You can get that too from the link I gave you.

Regarding the Dry eye you could ask about the Optimunne if he hasnt tried it already. Thats what was prescribed for my Samoyed with dry eye, it actually makes the eye produce tears.

Thank you, I will have a look at these. We did a trial of Optimmune, and it had no effect on his tear production Years of untreated conjunctivitis in his many other homes has caused this

Yes it does if undetected, they usually start off with repeated eye infections,
thats how my sam started off, then he had ulceration and had to have an eye quarterised for it to heal. I kept asking about dry eye and was told it wasnt. Until I took him to a specialist off my own back luckily a friend of mine who had her dogs bva/kc eye tested regularly got me an appointment with the eye specialist she used and low and behold after me asking about it several times and getting told no, thats what it turned out to be. Optimunne did work on him I was lucky, but if you have already tried it and it doesnt work.

Alternate between (for skin, coats, joints, eyes, overall health)
Salmon oil
Cod-liver oil
Evening primrose oil
Olive oil
Coconut oil

Plus I add vitamin c 3 x a week
Glucosamine daily for my oldest
Kelp twice a week
Slippery elm bark for upset tums
