Leigh P is on a distinguished road
Cocker spaniel with a dry and lumpy nose

Hi
My father in law owns an 8 yr old female cocker who always seems to have something wrong with her! At the moment she has been to the vets for conjunctivitus, and an ear infection was also discovered. She has just had an operation on her foot due to her tearing a claw when out on a walk, and she has had extensive back surgery for a slipped disc.

My question is about her nose. It is very dry and seems to be very lumpy, not warty, but excessive dry skin. Is this something that can be treated at home, or will they need to speak to the vet at their next visit next week? I think with everything else that has happened, this has never been picked up on, but the vet hasn't mentioned it either.

Any help would be great as I don't have much experience with dogs (but you can ask me anything about cats and guinea pigs!!!).

thanks
Leigh

Yes I would just let the vet take a quick look when they take her next week if it was me. It doesn't really sound like anything much but as they are going to the vets anyway it won't harm to mention it.
