Agreed; wasn't a criticism of the company, I really like their ethos and products and got a lovely email from them. I could also just about stomach the cost as quoted, not sure about as Kilo gets bigger and bigger though.

Still very much weighing up the options.

Oh, my comment wasn't meant scathingly . I just think some people tend to forget just how expensive meat, and particularly free-range or organic meat is.

I am glad I just have cats to raw feed! Two of them may be feline bruisers but nothing like your wee man!

TBH I am not sure how it works in terms of puppy vs adult dog raw quantities but for cats, well kittens can eat as much as they want whereas cats have the 2-3% of their body weight (which I believe is the same for adult dogs). So, feeding kittens raw can be more expensive than feeding adult cats, particularly when they are around the 4-8 month mark.

Agreed, wasn't quite expecting that cost though, but do understand why.

Yes, his food requirement will not be as great per kg of body weight when fully grown as it is now, however he is going to be quite a large dog so still looking at a hefty bill. He is on decent food ATM but my marvellous vet has got me thinking.

My husband and i would also like to have a second RR....Waaaaaay down the line...once Kilo is about 2 years old or more, so need to think about that as well!
