Raw feeders please

Now Sardines/Pilchards

How much do your dogs weigh and how much roughly do they get a week?

Do you use anything other than the above fish wise?

Also do you take it out of their daily allowance or just stick it on top of?

Also do you buy the in tomato sauce variety? Or is that just me?

Re: Raw feeders please

They have sardines, herring, mackerel, pilchards, sprats and if I'm spoiling them, they get tuna or salmon fillets (although salmon MUST be frozen before feeding). The fish counters in supermarkets often do brilliant prices on short dated fish or off cuts. The smaller fish they have whole - literally, the entire fish and they eat it all, but the larger fish I get filleted or buy the fish whole and chop it up myself

I’m sure I read somewhere that the canning process destroys the omega 3 in oily fish.

Yes, ours get a tin of sardines everyso often, and he loves them. I have never given then him in tomato sauce though.......and don't reckon I ever will as he is a Westie, can you imagine the mess!

He usually gets them, when he is due a worming tablet, as they are great to disguise any medicine!

I gave my Westie sardines in tomato sauce for the first time last week. She had a lovely red beard that day

I wish mine would eat all that-Raw. I bought Mackeral for them and only 1 would touch it-and she bought it all up later. I ended up cooking it. They only get tinned Sardines now.
