Question Help on stopping my dogs urine ruining my lawn.

Evening everybody.

I have just had my garden landscaped with lovely new turf among other things.

Do any of you know a way to stop my dogs urine from ruining the grass? It'd be nice to have no more patches

Thanks

I don't really think you can... Personally thought that was something that just came with the dog... One of my bosses at work got that special astro-turf stuff that looks like grass when he got his garden done because you just wash it down with a hose.

Dog Rocks really do work - I used them back in the days where I tried to have a nice garden and dogs - however I've now wised up to the fact you can have one or the other, but never both Dog Rocks, Dog Rocks Lawn Protection Products

Re: Help on stopping my dogs urine ruining my lawn.

I had new turf laid about a month ago and its still looking like amen corner in Augusta

The boy wonder for some odd reason very rarely wees on it now he prefers cocking his leg up a plant pot or the trellis

I have the sprinkler on it for about two hours a night and when i do see him have the odd pee on lawn i just give it a blast with the watering can

Oh and i added some miracle grow lawn food to it it via the watering can that keeps it green....this is meant to be done once a month...

Good luck

That's what I got after I moved house - the real lawn at my last place was a mess of brown patches (despite using dog rocks). It's fantastic, so easy to clean up. You can hose it, or put the vaccuum over! It cost 3 grand though!

I just looked on the websites, i love the look of this stuff, the garden at our place has terrible grass and Dora has wrecked it with her wee. One for the future i think

Re: Help on stopping my dogs urine ruining my lawn.

I have read that if you catch them doing it flood the area with with water.

It's the nitrogen in their urine that causes the staining.

Dog Rocks has been mentioned and although I have never used I have also read that putting Apple cider vinegar into water bowl does the trick too.

You must you the one from the health shops not from supermarket.
In fact when you read up about ACV it's seems marvellous for all sorts
