Re: Trixie eating lots of Grass

Perhaps you should press your vet to take it further or make some enquiries with other vets

I hope someone here will be able to shed a bit more light but I would say -vets - they are the professionals qualified and paid to help.

Re: Trixie eating lots of Grass

When my dogs eat grass, it comes out the other end still identifiable as grass - slightly yellowed and wilted. Black poo is blood in it.

Re: Trixie eating lots of Grass

Presumably your vet has asked for a sample of the poo to send off for testing? If not I would think I would be asking him to do that.

If you are worried and clearly you are ask for a second opinion i.e, testing the poo.

Re: Trixie eating lots of Grass

Mine eats loads of grass. Lexi has black poo when she has lamb to eat because it is quite bloody. I don't know what you feed but it potentially could be diet related?

Yeah he said if things weren't better in a couple of days then he will do more tests e.g testing the poo.

My Pup Baxter is 7 months and eats grass - loads of it at present, doesn't do him anyharm, his poos are normal occasionally he'll eat that much that he is sick bringing up all the grass. YUK
