Its a case of who you know

In Germany, there are 100s of raw food providers who offer a range of raw pet foods (not just minces in various degrees of fineness but also chunks, RMB, offal etc) that we can only dream of over here (where the market is still small and meagre in comparison).

I am just perplexed that you cannot find a raw food provider in France - or is it the case that their prices are still more expensive compared with the guys here?

Re: Royal Canin Satiety.

I found a couple of suppliers, one only done minces and the other had a really high delivery charge-I couldn't afford it and supermarket stuff would have been cheaper It is strange, I know-and annoying.
It still works out cheaper to pay Albions delivery charge and the charge of the shopping company that brings it over. France doesn't understand 'competition'!!
Thanks for the heads up on Germany though-I'll have a look at some of them. Someone I know was travelling to Belguim from here for his Tripe.

Re: Royal Canin Satiety.

I would have thought the raw diet to be more conducive for weight loss. There's some info in this document regarding a high protein/high fat diet being best for weight loss http://www.orijenpetfoods.co.uk/acat..._Paper(09).pdf

Re: Royal Canin Satiety.

Yes, thanks for the link Snoringbear. Shame that although it is set out to be for cats and dogs the majority of its discussion is about dogs.

And call me cynical but I would put more stock by their white paper if they then also produced a good quality wet food; not a dry food (although if such a things as a great dry food exists, the orijen it is at least for cats)

I've looked through that now, but I cant see anywhere that says high fat is good for weight loss. Think I really do want to get her back on to Raw- I done my weekly weigh in yesterday and shes only lost 10grams this last week, so suppose I just have to accept some weeks will be slow.
