kennel cough

noticed that missy has a bit of a cough rang the rehoming center they said long as shes ok in her self she will be fine do u think thats right she prob only coughed about 6 times when exited do u thionk theres anything to worry about ??

From what I read, they're supposed to cough if you put a bit pressure (i.e. press) on their trachea [throat]

Don't know how true that is though...

How long have you had her and has she recently come from a rescue centre?

It more than likely is kennel cough but providing she is not a really old dog and she is healthy then it probably isn't anything to worry about unduly. Just keep her reasonably quiet for two or three days and confine her to your house and garden for at least a week after the coughing stops as it is very contagious.
