Re: Grain-free wet

If she's been fine having them together then it's probably doing no harm, but I wouldn't risk it myself. Will she eat the Ziwipeak mixed with a bit if warm water, or even some raw mince? Prize Choice do a very good range of frozen minced meats, just defrost as and when you need it.

Re: Grain-free wet

Sadly no freezer space for raw mince - I only have a little ice box in my fridge

I'll try her with just water on the Ziwipeak, otherwise I'll have to leave it. Ah well, dogs will be dogs!

Thanks for the advice SixStar, much appreciated

Re: Grain-free wet

Oh my goodness

She just scoffed the Ziwipeak and water with no complaints at all!!!

I was sure she was going to leave it if it didn't have the ND with it! Obviously I don't give her enough credit!

Wooo hooo - that's really good.
You wont be the first to be proven wrong It could even be that she ate it because it's Monday and Tuesday will be different

Mine gets a bit of colitis now and then but seems to do best of all on WW wet and there's rice in that as well as 5 x the fibre of other wets.

Re: Grain-free wet

I feed my two poodles tinned natures menu, two of the varieties namely Beef and chicken and chicken contain potatoes, peas and carrots only whereas the other two flavours have rice in them. I am not sure about the pouches of natures menu as I don't buy them but I think they probably have rice i them. I buy the ones that have potato in only as one of my poodles is very fussy and prefers these.

I wouldnt be too worried about the by products in it (I think foreign countries are far more strict on what goes in). I take it as offal and that's part and parcel of feeding raw - something they are meant to have

Didnt realise Rocco was more meat and less by products - thanks Gary, off to have a nosey
Just orderd some Lukulus wet to give as an alternative to his morning Rocco...

are you feeding the ordinary Lukullus wet or the gourmet wet..?

the Gourmet is close in Price(£2) to the Lillys im feeding for dinner and curious as to the quality

Im sure i read somewhere that Rocco\Lukullus are made by the same firm

This looks intresting made at a butchers in Munich.....

Terra Canis Canned Food on Sale now at zooplus

Anyone used it ?

Re: Grain-free wet

I use Bozita canned in reindeer and game flavours, both of which are cereal free. They are mostly chicken and pork, meat and offal. At £1.09 for a 650g can (pre VAT increase, I stocked up) they are quite good value. I mix it with warm water and cereal free kibble (Fish4Dogs).

Lukullus is the only dog food I've tried from zooplus. Bought a few trays a while ago when they were selling off their winter menu of Venison and Goose. It's not the Gourmet. Pretty good tho. Noticed you use the Rocco so thought I would give that a whirl next time.
Cats are enjoying the Bozita.
The Terra Canis def looks v good.
